A little bit about me
Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my work. My journey in photography started back in 2012, shortly after my own wedding. I decided it was time to learn how to use my camera with the intent of documenting my new family. I was very fortunate to tag up with an amazing local artist [Kristopher Chandroo] right from the beginning which allowed me to quickly learn advanced techniques and an appreciation for the art. I continue to focus on growing and developing through personal experimentation and workshops with artists that I admire from across the world [Green Tea Photography, Two Mann Studios, Cliff Mautner, Cafa]. I now specialize in shooting weddings in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and the occasional destination wedding.
Why I photograph weddings
There is something amazing about the entire experience that I find very personally fulfilling. Its not just about the incredible photos. I love every single step... from the moment you first reach out to me all the way to the final image delivery. It truly becomes this incredible journey together that leads up to one of the most important days of your lives - and I'm the lucky guy that gets to document it. Weddings allow me to focus on capturing real love stories and genuine moments without the need to stage and pose. Things happen fast and often only happen once so there is a ton of pressure to not miss the shot. I like that challenge. It makes the images that much more valuable. I think the overall experience is just as important as the final images and I have been fortunate to work with so many clients that feel the same way.
I wouldn't be the photographer that I am today without the support of my amazing family. By the time you read this we will most likely have welcomed our second little girl. Our team now consists of my wife Lesley, our oldest daughter Sophie and our new baby girl [8 days away from being born as I type this]. Oh, and how could I forget our big fluffy boy - Moka [the cat]. Sophie has been instrumental in helping me get to where I am today. During the first year of her life we created a unique portrait of her every single day. That's right, 365 days of training for daddy. We still continue that project today but with a weekly photo. Having a second daughter means that we will once again be doing a 365 project. If you would like to follow along you can hit me up on Facebook.
